I have a younger sister.
She is poised and beautiful, incredibly talented and intelligent. She will kick your ass in any online FPS and works magic with india ink. I wish I could be half as cool and confident as she is. It was a pleasure to spend a full two days with her after graduation.
Last time she visited, we went orange picking in Rains graduate housing (fruitloops!). This time there was cooking of good food, debates of Disney/Pixar movies, and some joint artwork. Not only is she a fashionable artist, but she's also a sharp student of the law. She set me straight on a few legal concepts commonly misinterpreted by the general public. I'll write about my schooling later. For now I'll reminisce with photos:
We perused junk of all shapes and sizes at a terribly awesome flea market off El Camino. One nice man displayed this excellent "Britesun Inc InfraRed Therapy" kit cerca 1920. Complete with a quack booklet on the benefits of cold UV light, a heat lamp, goggles, and a handy 6 V battery for travel use, it's quite a bargain. We're not entirely sure what the glass rod on the left is used for. I didn't care to touch it, though.
Tuesday found us wandering around SF. We made a point to not really bring any maps or a car. Being on foot can be strangely liberating. I took her to the magnificent Cable Car Powerhouse where 4 massive engines slave away, turning sheaves that animate the thick cables beneath the streets. Hooray for mechanics!
On to the Wharf. Cold and windy during the summer once the fog rolls in.

After being dive bombed (literally) by seagulls, we headed over to the GG bridge and watched brave surfers patiently wait for waves.
The day ended with a screening of Pixar's "Up". The movie was so fantastic it deserves a post of it's own. However, I'll summarize it for you:
