California Monsoon

It's the rainy season here on the West Coast. All of the year's precipitation packed into 2 fun-filled weeks.

-------------------------------

Not sure what to think about Massachusetts. If this is the public standing up and saying they don't want a private-insurance mandate rammed through the Senate, then I'm okay with that.

As for the this... well... meet your new neighbor, the Corporation. It's just like you: owns property, pays taxes and lives forever with billions of dollars of influence. Influence that will undoubtedly be used to sway legislation in favor of their profits. To hell with the interests of the constituents.
Maybe one day you'll also be special and lucky enough to buy your own piece of democracy.
I 100% think groups of persons should be allowed to speak freely on political matters, even if I disagree with their views. However, when did "regulating" become synonymous with "absolute banning" [hmmm... 2nd Amendment anyone]? Also, when something becomes legal it doesn't magically become less corrupt.

-------------------------------

So many pictures and recipes to post from Christmas break. Oklahoma, Texas, California, in that order. I'll share what I can in the next week or so. Right now I'm overwhelmed with the task of putting my life back into perspective.
Also very busy at work. I think I use one as an excuse for the other: can't dwell on what's missing with a 10 hour workday.
